aspecialtybox.com - RCI Member
Founded in 2000 by Cynthia Calvert-Copeland, apecialtybox.com was a family-owned company with headquarters and warehouse centrally located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. For two decades they designed and produced exciting and trendsetting packaging in America’s heartland, continuing to expand their product line and increase their capabilities.
In 2022, the company was acquired by Oliver Inc., a sustainably driven custom-packaging provider, with manufacturing operations in Ohio, Oklahoma, Massachusetts, Virginia and New York and a combined experience of more than 250
years in producing folding cartons, marketing collateral and labels. Additionally, as a Forest Stewardship Council®-certified organization, Oliver Inc. is committed to providing unique packaging solutions, while also being environmentally responsible.
Get a peek behind the curtain of the magical process that goes from concept to reality. It starts with the CAD department, which focuses on the geometry of the box. Next, visit prepress where the colorful art is married to the geometry. Then, step out into the production area where ideas transform into physical objects. The press adds the color to the paperboard at thousands of impressions per minute. The die cutter cuts out the boxes as if it were a giant cookie cutter. Boxes scheduled for any extra beauty treatments such as windows, foils, or embossing will go to the appropriate treatment station. Next stop is the folder/gluer that finalizes the shape of the box. From there packaging is loaded into shipper boxes. Custom boxes make their way directly to the shipping department for the trip home. Standard boxes head over to the warehouse where they eagerly await their chance to be shipped out and brighten someone’s day.
