The Grand Confection Award Application
RCI will be accepting entry submissions soon through May 1, 2026

To enter products for consideration as the Grand Confection, participants must submit the following entry form by May 1, 2026. Applicants must also be active RCI Candy Maker Members and must be registered for the RCI Candy Convention (when registration becomes available).

The 2026 Confection of the Year is the Cream—a soft, smooth fondant-based or buttercream-based center, fully enrobed in chocolate. All entries must be prepared entirely by the entrant using ingredients of their own selection; commercially prepared fillings are not permitted.

• 10 physical samples of entries must be delivered in-person to judges’ room Tuesday morning (June 9). Late submissions will not be accepted regardless of application submitted.

• In addition, participants must submit packaged product for display during the RCI Candy Convention.

• Samples of the 2026 Grand Confection entries will be highlighted during the RCI Candy Convention. Participants are encouraged to share samples of their entry with membership; however, this is not required.

• Three finalists and one winner of The Grand Confection will be announced during the Awards Banquet on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at The Westin Indianapolis.
