Departure from United States for Monday morning arrival in Brussels.

After arrival in Brussels and transfer to the hotel, join fellow confectioners for a three-course lunch atop the Atomium, originally constructed for the 1958 Brussels World’s Fair (meal included). During an afternoon orientation tour of Brussels, discover all its architectural beauties and attractive squares in the city center. Dinner at your leisure.

In the morning, travel to the Puratos Innovation Center, a Belgian company who specializes in the technical, taste and production of chocolate. Learn from an extensive chocolate demo, followed by product tasting. Lunch will be provided by Puratos. Upon return to Brussels, enjoy a three-course dinner at La Maison Du Cygne at Grand-Place.

After breakfast, travel to Belcolade, a Belgian manufacturer of chocolate and a division of Puratos. After the tour, continue to Aalst for a two-course lunch at De Kapelaan Brasserie (included). There will be time for individual sightseeing before dinner at Hotel Chocolat.

Depart to Wieze, for a tour of the Callebaut Chocolate Academy Center. Take place in a short tour of the facility, accompanied by a chocolate tasting. The tour will end with a chocolate demonstration at Callebaut’s Chocotorium. Lunch will be provided by Callebaut. Following return to Brussels, dinner will be at your leisure.

In the morning, travel to Bruges to check in to Grand Hotel Casselbergh. Continue on to The Chocolate Line Factory for a tour of their production facility. Enjoy lunch at your choice of eateries in Downtown Bruges before a guided tour, including a private boat tour through the city’s canals. Followed by a three-course dinner at Patrick Devos Restaurant.

Start the day with a visit to the Choco Story Museum, a three-story museum in the center of Bruges, owned by the CEO of Puratos. The remainder of the day will be free to explore the many unique chocolate shops, historic buildings and restaurants within Downtown Bruges, an easy walking distance from the museum (lunch and dinner on own).

Sleep in and enjoy a late morning departure to Ghent, described as the “real diamond” of Flanders. For lunch, a three-course meal at Ghent Salons Carlos Quinto. Afterwards, a guided walking tour through Ghent’s historic quarter and impressive museums. Return to Bruges for a three-course dinner at Bistro Zwart Huis (included).

ANTWERP & MECHELEN

Journey to Antwerp for a guided city tour. After seeing the sights, sit down for a three-course lunch at Brasserie
Applelmans (included). Then continue to Tosca Chocolatier for a behind-the-scenes tour of this local chocolate shop founded by the Van ‘t Veer family in 1970. In the afternoon, travel to the city of Mechelen for check-in at Martin’s Patershof. There will be time for individual sightseeing and your choice of dinner from the local restaurateurs (on your own).

After breakfast, depart for HACOS Chocolate Machine Factory in Malle. Learn how to grow your chocolate production before a tour of the production site and a machinery demonstration. HACOS has arranged for a complimentary lunch. For the afternoon, return to Mechelen for free time to enjoy the local sights. Rejoin the group for the evening during a private farewell dinner and celebration at Tivoli Castle, complete with food, drinks and live music (included).
