RCI Event Cancellation Notice

After careful consideration, Retail Confectioners International’s (RCI) Board of Directors has decided to cancel the 2020 Annual Convention & Industry Expo, originally scheduled for June 15-19 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Other RCI events scheduled for 2020 will also be canceled or rescheduled, including Creams, Fondants & Fudges course (August 5-7 in Dayton, Ohio) and Fall Regional Conference (August 31-September 2 in Napa, California).

Although this was an extremely difficult decision made by RCI’s Board of Directors, it was made with the best interest of our members and communities at heart. Given the current unknowns regarding social distancing, state and local stay-at-home orders, travel bans and ongoing business challenges for our members, we felt it was best to focus on providing the resources our members need most at this time.

Since 1917, RCI has been a community for retail confectioners and their suppliers to connect with each other and learn from shared knowledge and experiences. We will truly miss the many opportunities RCI’s events give our members, exhibitors and guests to connect face-to-face, however, as always, we are committed to supporting this sweet industry even when apart.

We are certain this will pass, but for now, we are all in this together. As an association, we will continue to offer resources, online education and ways to connect virtually to help our members and their businesses come back from this better than ever. We look forward to what the future brings and invite you to save the date for RCI’s 2021 Annual Convention & Industry Expo on June 21-25 in Columbus, Ohio.

Remember, we are here to support you and your business. Please contact the RCI team directly if you have any questions. We hope that you stay safe and well.

Angie Burlison, RCI Executive Director, & the RCI Board of Directors
