Meet with fellow confectioners and the industry's best suppliers.

HARTFORD, CT – May 20, 2019 – Candy makers and chocolatiers from across the United States, Canada and abroad will be at The Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, Connecticut June 3 through June 7 for Retail Confectioners International’s (RCI) Annual Convention & Industry Expo. RCI is a non-profit trade association that supports the confectionery industry by offering educational and networking opportunities designed to help candy businesses grow and succeed.

Confectionery professionals can expect a week filled with education, behind-the-scenes tours and networking beginning with an inspiring and transformative keynote, sponsored by Davis Chocolate, Paul Joachim “The Chocolate Genius” will transform a block of chocolate into a work of art at unbelievable speed, while simultaneously sharing his story of producing unpredictable and extraordinary results.

In addition to the keynote, attendees will discover “unscooped” potential for their business by understanding what it takes to incorporate ice cream into an existing candy business. Attendees will also learn how lead their businesses to the forefront of breaking culinary trends, build a portfolio of beautiful product photos and protect their business despite changes to FDA regulations.

Confectionery professionals are invited to meet face to face with suppliers of equipment, packaging, ingredients and more at RCI’s Industry Expo starting at 10:00 AM on June 4 and 5. “The Industry Expo is a great opportunity for candy makers to not only connect with suppliers, but also see, touch and, in some cases, taste new products,” says Angie Burlison, RCI Executive Director. Admission is regularly $10 in advance for non-members or $25 onsite, register now to attend RCI’s two-day Industry Expo for only $5 with the promo code “RCIHigh5.” Admission to the Industry Expo is free for RCI members.

On the final two days of the week, RCI takes education to the next level through exclusive, behind-the-scenes confectionery tours. RCI tours will include Fascia’s Chocolates, Hauser Chocolatier, Munson’s Chocolates, Sweenor’s Chocolates, Inc. and Thompson Chocolate. Each tour location has been selected to help attendees gain a new perspective of their craft and inspire new ideas to use in their own retail stores.

While the event is hosted by RCI, all confectionery professionals are invited to attend. A variety of ticket packages are available, giving attendees the option to create an experience that fits their schedule and budget. RCI offers an Expo-Plus Pass for just $150 for those looking to take their experience up a notch by adding education.
