Candy makers and chocolatiers learn how to rock the customer experience.

SPRINGFIELD, MO - February 15, 2018 - For those looking to rock their chocolate and candy businesses, make plans to attend Retail Confectioners International's (RCI) Annual Convention & Industry Expo in Cleveland, Ohio on June 18-22, 2018.

RCI will be cranking up the volume in Cleveland, home of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and putting the spotlight on leveraging customer experience. "Delivering experiences that consumers really want is one of the greatest strengths of a small business competing with retail giants," says Angie Burlison, RCI Executive Director. "At RCI's 2018 Annual Convention & Industry Expo, we're aimed at offering actionable strategies for retail candy makers and chocolatiers to create unique and memorable experiences for their customers that will allow their businesses to succeed and grow in a competitive environment."

Through relevant educational sessions led by experts in their fields, attendees will discover how to:

  • channel their uniqueness into growth
  • cultivate a powerhouse team
  • fine tune their retail space
  • develop applause-worthy, new confections

"Marvelless" Mark Kamp, author of the acclaimed business book, Opportunity Rocks, will kick off the week's education with an energetic, interactive and funny keynote on becoming a business rock star. Opportunity Rocks reveals the innovative success secrets that created household names like The Rolling Stones, Madonna, Tina Turner and Aerosmith. Using the same techniques as these bona fide rock stars, attendees will discover how to reinvent and revolutionize their businesses.

Registration for RCI's Annual Convention & Industry Expo will be available for RCI members and non-members in March. Visit for the event schedule, education descriptions and hotel information. Suppliers interested in exhibiting can find more information on booth packages available at
