Buffett's Candies
RCI Member

Born in 1956, Buffett’s Candies is located in the heart of the Southwest in Albuquerque. Commonly referred to as “the place with the big candy cane,” Buffett’s Candies is now a local landmark. They have also developed a reputation for their use of piñon nuts in their creations. Not to be confused with pine nuts, true piñon nuts have a distinct and unique flavor. Using only the finest ingredients and no preservatives, their motto is “our candy is meant to eat–not keep.”

The Popcorn Cannery

When George Buffett started his candy business, he always made caramel corn. His caramel corn recipe is the oldest one they have, using real butter. In 1981, Buffett’s Popcorn Cannery was created to meet the growing popularity of their caramel corn. Today, Buffett’s Popcorn Cannery has over 20 flavors of popcorn and sells real-butter popcorn and caramel corn wholesale to grocery store chains throughout New Mexico.

New Mexico Piñon Coffee

Over twenty years ago, New Mexico Piñon Coffee started with the original owner roasting coffee out of the back of his classic red pickup truck in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Today, they are one of the largest coffee roasters in the state of New Mexico, roasting over 1 million pounds of coffee each year. Their 100% Arabica Bean coffee is slowly roasted, with notes of nuttiness brought through by their custom piñon flavoring.
