|History of RCI|
Retail Confectioners International (RCI) is a not-for-profit trade association founded in Chicago in 1917. Our membership is composed of chocolate and candy makers, confectioners and industry suppliers with a passion for excellent confections throughout the U.S., Canada and overseas.
RCI began as Associated Retail Confectioners of United States in 1917. Over the years, the members realized their purpose could benefit businesses outside of the U.S. and they became Retail Confectioners International.
The heart of the association has always been and still is representing the interests of confectionery manufacturing retailers and promoting public interest in their products. From the annual confectionery industry expo to education courses, we have always been committed to helping chocolate and candy makers connect with each other and grow their businesses. And that's exactly what we will continue to do!
