Liza Gerry and Valerie Marshall have worked at L.L. Bean, Inc. for most of their careers. This education session goes full circle when it comes to selling a business. Starting with steps to build a business in anticipation of selling and ending with ownership transition. Gain insight on the key elements of selling, the sale process and more.

Andy Charles studied engineering and then joined the Navy submarine service. He later worked in manufacturing management before purchasing Haven's Candies in 2001. Andy sold
Haven's Candies to Erin Collins in 2014, and is currently working to figure out the next steps in his life.

Erin Collins is the President of Haven's Candies. She and her family purchased the company in September 2014. Prior to purchasing Haven's, Erin worked in the financial services industry. Erin earned her Bachelor of Science in Finance from Bentley University in 2000.

Since joining Maine MEP in 2010, he has used his experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Systematic Layout Planning to help guide several small and medium-sized Maine companies to establish or enhance their Continuous Improvement efforts. Bill's passion lies in helping companies develop their most important resource - their employees.
