SPRINGFIELD, MO - July 22, 2016 - In celebration of its 100th anniversary, Retail Confectioners International (RCI) will follow its Chicagoland roots for the 2017 Annual Convention & Industry Expo, June 12-16, 2017 at The Westin Lombard in Lombard, Illinois.
Founded in Chicago in 1917, RCI has represented the interests of confectionery manufacturing retailers and promoted public interest in their products for nearly 100 years. RCI's Annual Convention & Industry Expo is one of the ways RCI shows its commitment to members and the industry. In addition to valuable education, behind-the-scenes tours and networking opportunities throughout the week, the 2017 Annual Convention & Industry Expo will feature a two-day exhibition of confectionery suppliers and wholesalers (June 13 and 14). A great opportunity for confectionery professionals to view new product innovations and meet suppliers face-to-face. A real-time interactive expo floorplan provides exhibitor information, so attendees may plan their expo visit ahead of time.
Current and past RCI members and all confectionery industry professionals are welcome to join RCI in celebration of 100 years of sweetness! For industry suppliers, this event offers a unique opportunity to connect with chocolate and candy makers from across the United States and Canada looking for new ideas and innovations to implement in their production and retail facilities. "RCI's Industry Expo offers an unparalleled opportunity to maintain and build relationships with current and prospective customers," says Diane Trout of The Blommer Chocolate Company. "This event supports a unique environment to showcase innovative products and increase market awareness that no other tradeshow offers." Through the Industry Expo, RCI aims to connect chocolate and candy makers with the suppliers who provide what they need to run a successful confectionery business. Suppliers ranging from packaging to ingredients to business services, equipment and more can visit retailconfectioners.org/exhibitors to view more details and to reserve their booths.
Registration for the convention and expo will open on the RCI website in early 2017. If you are a supplier looking to exhibit, please visit retailconfectioners.org/exhibitors.
