All ads will appear in one issue of Kettle Talk and run concurrently on our website.. Ads will be removed from the website and Kettle Talk prior to the publication of the next issue of the newsletter. The deadline for the next newsletter for January, February and March is Novembr 12th, 2010. Classified advertising is free for RCI Members and $25 per ad per issue for non-members.

  • The Sloan Museum in Flint, MI currently has a display about the history of candy in the Flint area. They are in need os some antique molds, equipment, packaging, etc. for display. The display will run through the year and the museum would like to change and update it periodically.

  • Caramel Corn Rabbit Molds For Sale: We sell approximately 1300 - 1500 molded carmel corn rabbits from our store in the ten days before Easter. The rabbit stands 9 inches high and weighs 9 ounces. We use the mushroom variety popcorn because it pops round and there is less breakage than the butterfly variety. Our recipe yields approximately 15 rabbits per batch. We decorate each rabbit with Kencraft eyes and carrots. Total approximate ingredient cost, assuming 15 rabbits per batch is 53 cents plus the cost of icings. Our retail price is $4.75 each.
    The molds are made of heavy cast aluminum, and last for years. We are selling them for $400 each. We will furnish recipe and instructions.

Sales and Customer Service Manager - a well-established single-location retailer, wholesaler and manufacturer of confectionary products seeks a seasoned professional Sales and Customer Service Manager in southern New Hampshire.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
  

  • Sales, customer, and employee focused leader with a successful track record in sales.  
  • Retail management (ideally in specialty food).
  • Hard-working hands-on manager and role model who fosters teamwork and positive attitudes.
  • Results-oriented and ambitious mentor, not afraid to challenge him/herself and the team.
  • Excellent motivator who is creative and eager to take initiative.
  • Outgoing personality with an over the top "can do" attitude, not afraid to try out new ideas.
  • Able to work in a systematic and comprehensive way.
  • Excellent communicator, within the company and towards the outside.
  • Computer savvy (Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet), ideally with Point-Of-Sale (POS) system experience.
  • At least 10 years of sales & customer service management experience in a retail environment.
  • Bachelor degree in a related discipline.
  • Must be willing to work retail hours, including Saturdays.
